CLARKSTON, WA- Clarkston high school had their community drive for Golden Throne week.
Clarkston students braved the rainy and wet conditions outside to raise money for charity. The proceeds will go towards a CHS alum who's battling stage four cancer.
Cars stopped by all this afternoon either honking or donating to Clarkston high school. Students held up signs reading "honk for CHS" and "donate to CHS" and even the mascot made a surprise appearance as well.
Sophomore Brenna Keene put together this event, and expresses her gratitude towards CHS students and the LC Valley.
"It's just a representation of Clarkston HS and the Bantam spirit. People are going to show up and show out no matter what. We just really care about this charity and above all, we want to help our community and give back," Keene said.
"I love that Lewiston and Clarkston can come together. It's a special event, and I love that we can give back to the community, and our community can give to us. I think it's so beautiful."
