Washington Eastern State Hospital patient located in Reno

A 28-year-old Eastern Hospital patient who walked away from Valley Hospital after an appointment has been located in Reno, Nevada.

According to the Spokane Valley Sherriff's Office, Jamil Fields was a patient at Eastern State Hospital following an insanity plea in a 2022 drive-by shooting incident. He was committed to Eastern State Hospital for treatment.
According to authorities fields walked away from Valley Hospital where he had an appointment on March 6th. 2024.
Fields and his accomplice 26-year-old Janine Ludwig were found in Reno, Nevada.
Both Fields and Ludwig were arrested on felony arrest warrants.

They will remain in Reno while an extradition process takes place.
