Church has been battling ticket scalpers for years as his popularity grew and he began selling out arenas. Country music singer Eric Church is kicking off the opening of his own Nashville honky tonk in a big way, announcing a nearly two-dozen show residency at the new Broadway bar.

Church shared the details of his bar "Chief’s" grand opening Tuesday, noting he’ll kick the celebrations off with a 19-show residency titled 'Eric Church: To Beat The Devil.'

According to Church's website, the new six-story bar was intentionally designed to accommodate a two-story live music venue named "The Neon Steeple," and that's where all 19 shows will be held beginning April 5.

“These shows at Chief’s will be one of a kind, only for Chief’s and with some songs that will only ever be performed during these shows,” said Church. “It's the most unique show I'll probably ever do, and I'm excited to enjoy this chapter of what Chief’s will be.”

Church is approaching ticket sales differently on his website he says to protect fans from scalpers. Tickets will be offered initially to premium 'Church Choir' members on March 20 at 10:00 a.m. via a sign-up system here. Tickets to the general public will go on sale March 22 at 10:00 a.m.
