Gianna Cefalu grew up in Northern California, where Bay Area Sports became an integral part of her life. She grew up rooting for the San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, and the Stanford Cardinal. She graduated from the University of Utah in 2021, studying Communications with an emphasis in Journalism.

She did a variety of multimedia internships within student media at the U. After graduation, she was a journalism intern for the Arroyo Seco Saints Baseball Team and a sports media intern for the Pac-12 Networks.

The Bay Area Native looks forward to covering all sports within the LC Valley, the Washington State Cougars, and the Idaho Vandals.
