SEATTLE, WA- In the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks have found their new head coach. Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald will serve as the youngest head coach in the league at 36 years old.

"People recognize that this is a very intriguing job, and one that you can come in and have a great partnership with everybody here and get rolling, I think people recognize that,” said Seahawks general manager John Schneider.

Macdonald will take over in Seattle, three weeks after the Seahawks announced that Pete Carroll will no longer serve as head coach.

Carroll is still with the Seahawks organization in an advisor role, but Macdonald is coming to Seattle as one of the league's sharpest defensive minds.

He led the Ravens to first in points allowed, sacks, and takeaways during the 2023 season. He will be in Seattle on a new six year deal.
